Amy is an inspiration to all Rotary members because of her dedication to youth and rotary programs dedicated to youth as well as multiple service projects in Rotary.  She has been a member of the New Generations Committee since inception, went through training and orientation of Youth Exchange from the District in 2011-2012, interviewed the Outbound Students in February 2012, spoke at PETS/SETS March 2011 about youth exchange, and interviewed youth for RYLA.  She has been involved in several service projects: organized youth to collect $182 and 15 pairs of shoes for Shoes for Orphan Soles, organized Brownie Troop to collect socks for Blairs, Socks – December 2011, organized Brownie Troop to donate dollars to Hillcrest Transitional Housing, helped to arrange Invisible Children presentation by youth to Rotary, helped make WAPIs at Rotary Meeting, work party with Rick Ford and district conference. Additionally she was Co-Chair of our annual Valentines Gala fund raiser, helped write up District Matching grant request for WAPIS and coordinated with Gigi Harris to present to Rotary the plight of the people in San Mateo.  Finally, with her heart for service she participates in skiing at Freezin’ for a Reason annually to benefit a local nonprofit and when the natural disaster hit in Joplin, she took our donations to the Rotarian in charge in Joplin making sure she took her youth with her to share a life’s lesson.  In short Amy embodies Service Above Self.
